ENNO STAHL/COLOGNE
Works during CHIANG MAI SOCIAL INSTALLATION + 5th PERFORMANCE CONFERENCE at Bangkok

1) "voice garden" - an installation with 8 walkmen in Wat Umong

8 endless tapes are running simultaneously, all the sounds that you hear are produced by the author`s voice or voice-producing instruments (lips, tongues, teeth, nose). this collection shall present a balance between nature (the surroundings) and art (human intervention) since voice as a organic part of the body is natural, too.

2) "traffic against" - sound poetry/performance (tha pae gate)

the author is running around in circles, producing heavenly sounds like "T…………T!!" as long as he stands it. these voice sounds are transmitted by a wireless microphone while an assistent is quickly moving the speaker around the public - so that the sound is changing the direction all the time. finally the assistent holds the speaker against the roaring traffic of tha pae gate.

(changed version in bangkok: now based on words: "kill - ka"/ "puke - oarnk")

3) "shoes" - performance (Silpakorn University in the 55 PERFORMANCES SHOW)

the author says "I love my shoes" and is licking them heavily.

4) "vision" - performance (Silpakorn Univers. in the 55 PERFORMANCES SHOW)

the author says to the audience: "I want you to think with me a great vision of peace, freedom and democrati" after doing so for a certain time, he claims: "do you really think that`s enough?"
