ANJA IBSCH/COLOGNE
works during the Chiang Mai Social Installation and the Performance Conference at Bangkok 1997

1. "The Pupose of Hygiene" (Chiang Mai)

I collected the water from washing my feet, hands and head. This water was mixed with concrete and filled into plastic bags with straws. At least I installed the plastic bags in public and offered them to the poeple in the street.

2. "One Kiss 10 Baht" (Chiang Mai/ Performance Conference, Bangkok)

I `m sitting on a chair, dressed like a tourist (with toilet paper, sun milk and anti-mosquito-liquid on my side). I `m holding a sign on that is written: "One Kiss 10 Baht". Anybody who pays can kiss me, the tourist.

3. "Incorporation" (Performance Conference, Bangkok)

I sweep the room and keep the dust and the dirt. Then I fill it into 5 glasses, mix it with water. I give 4 glasses to the public, then we `ll have a toast - and I `d drink up the dirt cocktail.

4. "My two little golden performers" (55 Performances, Silpakorn University, Bangkok)

I sprayed some inflatable rubber toys (a bear and an elephant) golden. First, I let them fuck, sqeezingly. Then, I handle them as an air-pump. At least, I hop on them off-stage.
